This is a super strange thing that happens in Microsoft word. This was discovered by an Indian and Microsoft is puzzled as to why it happens...
1 Open Microsoft word
2 Type =rand (200,99)
(dont forget to type the = too)
3 press Enter
Are you surprised by the result?
(u have to press Enter right after you typed in the stuff)

I learned this from a friend of mine who works for microsoft.
I tried changing the numbers around a bit and i still get the same result.(i mean the numbers within the brackets)
So the trigger for this set of result must be in the =rand(x,x) statement.

the first #, (X,X) is the # of paragraphs. the second # is the number of times its repeted in each paragraph. ( I figured it out after I tried it)

try these too ...

Open a new workbook
Press F5
Enter X97:L97 and press Enter
Press Tab once, to move to column M
Hold Control and Shift, then right-click the Chart Wizard icon on the Standard toolbar

Under file menu, do 'Save as Web Page'.

=rand(x,y)
x is the number of paragraphs.
y is the number of sentences per paragraph
The sentence has changed in Word 2007.
This is not a 'bug' or a 'trick.' It's a feature. Let's say you've created a document layout and you want to see how the text would flow through your columns/margins/etc. Instead of typing dummy text, you can use this function.

Wow! I'm surprised Microsoft don't know why that happens as it must have been programmed to do that. Without giving too much away, that is a very famous sentence for a particular reason (if I say people will know what it does!) so Microsoft must have at some point put it in there???

I was rather skeptical at first to type anything. I was thinking that it would mess up my computer. After I saw that others had tried it, I took a chance. Cool. I'm wondering about that racing game the guy mentioned in Excel.

Hmmm... it seem that the first # is the number of lines it comes out on and the second # is the number of times it is repeated one one line. But anyway, what is the point??? Just a random trick, I guess... an 'easter egg' in Word.
