no it won't unless you run them at the same time using some VM (Virtual Machine) software.

Simple asnwer is no - as long as you choose 1 and only 1 to run when the computer boots up.

NO, because you only run ONE OS at the time. So your system wont be slower.

I have MacBook Pro and that have Window and Mac in it. I don't have any slow problem. Unless you have a lot of stuff in your hard drive, then it might cause the system to be slow. Just clean up your hard drive and main thing your desktop. If you have a lot of file or folders on your desktop then it will slow your system.

Burn unused files or folders to DVD and keep your hard drive space big.

Hope this help

No, I have Windows Xp and Ubuntu Linux on my laptop and running one or the other doesn't cause extra memory to be taken. The only time extra memory would be taken is, as the others before me have said, when you run both of them at the same time with virtualization. Though with linux I don't really have to do that since I can still access my windows partitions and get the files I need to work on and whatnot.

Each operating system requires different amounts of resources to operate. Windows Vista for example takes the cake by requiring 512mb ram just to operate. If you can run vista then another operating system will actually be faster. As long as you have the hardware resources then you can run pretty muich anything. Hoped this helped you.

I hope not! I was thinking of the same thing! But then, I would tend to buy a super-charged souped up Mac that is sure to handle the job. I was thinking of - what is it - running Windows as a "window"?
