I have a problem with ants in my food pantry,how do I get rid of them without contaminating food?

I tried this and it works. Put a little bit of flour (white, wheat, self-rising, you name it) Where the ants are coming in. You will have to manually get rid of the ants that are already inside, but no more will come in. If you leave the flour alone, you will never have ants again. (Of course, they may find another entrance, so it would be best to put the flour all along your cupboards/baseboards.)

You can put a chalk line around the food on the shelves and that will keep the ants from crossing it and getting in to your food. For the floor spray Orange-Glo furniture polish around the baseboards and no more ants will enter your pantry. You must leave the oily residue. This is the only brand that works, don't bother with any other brands, I've tried everything and they won't work. You'll be ant free!

Sprinkle Diatomaceous earth round your dwelling, very inexpensive, observed at any pool give organization...maintains all insects out. I used to have a prob with small black ants displaying up. I haven'y visible them in years.

Wow. this is a good one...
Once I had made a similar posting at the Handyman Of America forum and I got responded that beneficial worms can be bought at a specialized farming and gardening supplies stores...
