The best way I know is to gulp (as hard and fast as you can) a glass full of water. I get hiccups ALL the time and it drives me insane. How many ppl do u know that wake up with the hiccups or get them 5 times a day?? Mine are so bad I can't keep them quiet because it hurts if I don't let them out. DRIVES ME FRUITY!! And that crap where they tell you hiccups is caused by stress or spicy foods is a bunch of bull. I know sometimes my boyfriend will look at me and say "Hiccup!! Come on, do it again!! Hiccup!! Hiccup now!!" and sometimes that works and I can't do it, but not all the time.

They say hiccups is a mental thing so keep repeating out loud "Am I going to hiccup now, am I gonna hiccup now etc.."

Or you can just hold your breath until your blue in the face

Drink a glass of water and hold your breathe for as long as you can. Or (this is wierd) my firend when she has the hiccups she turns to me and says bryan i got the hiccups then i say "you have the what" she says "the hiccups" and we repeat it a few times then her hiccups just go away...i know its wierd but it works for her o_O

This works gulp down a spoon full of sugar - whenever my kids get the hiccups that's what they ask for 1st.

i usually hold my breath in my lungs, and they go away after about a minute. my eyes tear up sometimes though, but i hate hiccups so thats what i have to do to get rid of them=)

Breathe in very slowly, then hold your breath.... breathe out very slowly, then hold your breath... do this 4 or 5 times, even if you continue to hiccup.... it has worked for me pretty well, even when i stuffed my face with macadamia nuts, and they are, like, 25 cents a nut. Well, you are what you eat.

Drink a glass of water without stopping then hold your breath fo 30 seconds...Good luck!

8-9 gulps of water

getting scared by someone (BOOOO)

one hand behind your head and the other right in front of your
face stay still and focus on the hand in front of your face for a minute don't talk don't look away stand up straight other than those you are on your own good luck

ok so this has worked 99 percent of my hiccup problmes, lie on the floor, strait, and streach your arm and legs, now, while your doin this hold your breath for as long as you can, while still streaching and let out slowly, i garentee it will work
