I have had Bellsouth DSL for 2 years now with no problems but now every time the phone rings or you try to make a call while online, the broadband link light flashes & I get knocked off line. Only one of my computers does this (the one w/ the main box connected to it - the others are another desktop & a laptop both w/ wireless connections and they work fine) I have had the same phones I have always had so I didnt think that was the problem & I replaced all my filters w/ new ones...still no luck. Customer Service was no help what so ever; so for now I have been just taking the phone off the hook to get online but that causes me to miss calls. Any suggestions?...Please - It's driving me nuts!

Make sure you have splitters on every phone connection that seperate the data(2) and voice(2). If one of your phones doesn't have it, a call will ring through using both, and terminate the connection.

If you are using a cordless phone there may be a conflict with your wifi or a neighbours wifi connection may be interfering with yours. If you have a cordless phone try changing the channel, if not change the Chanel on the router, try moving the antennae, or the router itself.

I had this same problem. No one cares at the phone company.
Solution?
I went to cable.
Happy now.

Call your isp they are better equipped to answer this question than anyone here. Make them come out to your house. Or tell them you will cancel.
