Most males that I have met who have a big ego, seem to be so worried that at any moment you are going to ruin their manhood with one word.

It is my understanding that egos are created from the developmentally positive successes occurring by each individual. Males are born with ascribed status, which means that they are considered "superior" simply by virtue of their gender at birth. What males chose to ignore is that it is both a male and female that is necessary for the continuation of the species. I see it unlikely that males will willingly accept any change in the order of their perceived "superiority".

we are taught from childhood to be a certain way, everybody is. I have learned to let go of those issues through awareness training . it has showed me what a shallow man i was, not saying that I'm perfect or any crap like that, but i try to examine every on its own merits with no preconceived thoughts. I read books by Dr. Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra and many others like these to increase my awareness.
