If t-jack is the starting QB this year the Vikings will not have a good season. History shows that rookie QB's rarely succeed and t-jack is essentially a rookie. The Vikings should not draft a QB either because they would essentially be giving up on t-jack when he hasn't given them a reason to give up on him. He needs a chance to succeed by getting some protection and some receivers to throw to. The Vikes should also pick up a solid veteran QB so t-jack could be a back up for another season and give the vikes a chance to win now.

Tarvaris Jackson isn't the only issue facing the Vikes. He is young and will struggle but with not much for WR, a ground game that has become passive at best, losing your D coordinator and several players on the D, I think the Vikes will finish 6-10 and be fighting Detroit for the bottom on that division.

Well we didn't get to see much of thier 2nd round pick of last season, Jackson, but I think he deserves a shot if they can't get Brady Quinn in the 1st round...they are rebuilding anyway, other positions need focus...such as WR and S. Jackson is a mobile QB and I think that might be what they need with a run game that struggles a bit and a receiving group that is less than great...I wont peg them to get to the playoffs this year, but that's what rebuilding is about....if you continue to be mediocre..you get better draft picks until you end up like Carolina in when they got Peppers or Dallas when the got Aikman (Both teams were 1-15 when they picked them) and both made it to the super bowl soon after...Same could happen for Minnesota...but time will tell..no promises.

I want to answer your BQ first, no they wont trade him. To answer your first Q, I can't tell you why exactly. But Tavaris Jackson is still a work in progress, one thing that dazzles me about him, is that he gets better noticeably every year. Well you are probably thinking " wtf? Everyone gets better every season when they're young " For the most part, that is true. But when you Tavaris Jackson play every year, you notice it... You think to yourself... man has this guy improved or what? You don't need for commentators or stats to point that out. There are three main reasons the Vikings got Brett Favre. 1. To win more games and a potential Super Bowl 2. To take pressure off of #28 3. To help Tavaris Jackson improve with one of the best QB's to ever play the game. Whether people realize this or not, players teach other players... Who better to teach you than Brett Favre himself? Tavaris Jackson is going to be an excellent drop back passer when it is his time. He has the speed to make plays with his legs when he needs to. I'm very happy for Tavaris Jackson, mark my words. He will be a house hold name in a few up coming seasons.

The Vikings wont be good but not because of their QB situation. Its the team situation as a whole. Jackson has no receivers to throw to that can catch a cold nevertheless a football. The defense leaves much to be desired. Get the kid some help already!

The Vikings are balancing on the verge of being a playoff contender. They are one team that given the right impact player can become a playoff team immediately. They also could become a huge bust with the wrong pick.
If Quinn fell to them they should grab him. Minnesota would be a great place for Quinn to develop. He would be in a weak division with only one real opponent (Chicago) and that would allow him 6 games during the year to develop.

If they leave Jackson at the helm, they might as well start deciding who they're going to pick #1 in the draft next year. The few times he played last year, he looked pathetic. He's probably just not cut out to play pro ball.

I am a vikings fan, have been for a long time, I think I am just used to them being so disappointing. If they do good, that would be awesome, but I'm not gonna get any false hopes.
