I know that normally you are allotted vacation time, but I want to know how the other PTO acumulates.

The is up to the company. PTO, vacation, sick, personal or hloiday time is not required to be paid under any federal or state law. Check you employee handbook or ask your Human Resources Department for the exact calculations.

It is dependent on the company. Some companies simply give you a certain number of days per calender year. My current company calculates it by the number of hours worked.

Most places have an allotted amout of time per year, or you earn time each month or pay period.

Check with your HR person or direct boss.

It depends on your company. Some companies give you a lump sum each year (ie. 10 days of vacation), while some make you acrue it with each paycheck (i.e earn 4.25 hours each pay period).
