Personally, I believe it is because people have more money than brains.
And for a lot of people, the determine their own self-worth by the cost they pay for their things, instead of by the good acts they do.
Materialism is ruining our society and I feel for my child.

It's not about wanting to spend more money - the more you spend (usually) the better quality the clothes are. For instance, you can buy a knockoff purse on a street corner for $40, but the seams will be uneven, the inside will be cheap, and it will look fake. Or you can buy the real thing, and it will last you a lifetime. Now, do I personally have the money to pay $1,500 for a purse? No, but in the mean time, I'd rather buy nice, less expensive pieces, like from Target or Express, than walk around looking like I don't know that my shoes are literally falling apart because they're so cheap.

what is wrong with that im a teen that owns over 16 pairs of chanel glasses and has so many purses and trillions of juicy tracks suits. I can go on like tiffanys, gucci purses, marc jacobs, micheal kors, true religions, sevens, i have everything you wish you could have. Im spoiled and can care less. Im very intelligent and rich i love the rich life. Your just jealous

knock offs are so noticable these days. there also really tacky. the more expensive bags are made of better quality and worksmanship
