So I want to go to Disney World..probably off-peak for my 24th birthday (october time frame). Meaning I would have to use personal days to get be there. My girlfriend and I did the majority of Disney Land (the main stuff) in a day.

Given the type of pace my gf and I do theme parks..how long do you think we would need to set aside to do the majority of Disney World? 3, 5, 7 days? more?

I just came back from Disneyworld (spring break). we covered almost everything-Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM-Studios, Animal Kingdom and Typhoon Lagoon. The shortest amount of time is one park per day- a park hopper ticket is not worth it if you want to do an entire park.During the spring break, the parks were so overcrowded that we woke up early and fell asleep late, trying to use our fastpasses as much as possible and trying to cover the majority of each park. that is basically the only way you can cover each park during peak seasons.(then again, we had to wake up more early because we were not in a Disney hotel, and we planned on taking the earliest shuttle bus every day.) so even though it will cost more, stay in a Disneyworld resort, it saves you a lot of time. (And don't forget to order tickets, etc. no less than 6 months in advance.)
From personal experience,I think the best amount of time is 7 days (first and last for flight, then 5 days to visit parks). I don't think you would want to go to a water park in october so you can visit each park for a day and save the last day to repeat the park that you enjoyed the most. Also, once you enter the parks, grab a map and plan out where you are going to visit. You and your girlfriend will have a lot of fun even if you don't get to do all of Disneyworld, so just soak up the magic and enjoy the relatively shorter lines and money that you'll save by visiting Disneyworld in October.

It depends on what you want to do. Disney World is HUGE compared to Disneyland. There are four parks, two water parks, Downtown Disney and Disney Quest. Plus Pleasure Island which is their club/entertainment complex for adults. They have different types of clubs for almost any musical taste.

If you are thinking just theme parks, you would need at least one day per park. A couple of parks could probably be done early but you should give yourself time to rest because the humidity and heat is higher here than in California. Also, you will be in going during the Food and Wine festival at Epcot. The crowds are larger during this event. So it could take you an extra day just to get that park done. Downtown Disney is a cool place to catch a movie, get something to eat, and do some shopping. Although most people just window shop. Mostly Disney stores. Disney Quest is an indoor park. It is made up of different video games. Most were designed by Disney for this attractions (virtual Pirates of the Caribbean, virtual jungle cruise, etc) plus they have some current video games and a section to classic video games. All games (except the games of chance where you can win prices) are included in the price of admission. This is probably a half day. A full day if you have a large group. If either of you don’t like video games, skip it. hope this helps.

Well, Disneyland in California consists of only two theme parks. Walt Disney World consists of four massive theme parks, plus two water parks, and a lot more. Disney's Animal Kingdom Park and the Disney-MGM Studios can be completed in about a day each, but EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom easily take two days each to complete. I'm a 20-year-old Disney Fanatic and I never go for less than 10 days. There's a whole lot to do at Walt Disney World, though - much more than you'd imagine. In fact, I could stay at Walt Disney World for an entire month and still not have had time to do everything there is to do. The Walt Disney World property is twice the size od Manhattan (also the size of San Francisco). There's a lot of ground to cover.

Considering you are going during the summer, I would stay at least one week. Summertime is generally crowded, and you'll want enough time to visit all of the parks and get all of the main rides in. I went to Disney World at the end of October (a less crowded time) and I was able to do everything in just five days (three full days + arrival day + departure day). However, all of the lines were very short, and if they were any longer I would have wanted to stay in Disney for a couple more days.

You can do the entire Disney World in 4 days. Go to the parks during the day and go to Downtown Disney at night.

Definitely need 3 days to see and do almost everything there. Disney World is so much bigger than Disney Land.

It would take you 4 days. If you takes you 1 day for Disneyland, it should take you 1 day for each park at Disney World.

Off-peak, 2 days. On-peak,5 days. Last time I went was peak period of early January! I won't do that again! The place was so packed you would spend the day getting to the back of the park! Good luck! ;-)=

if you are going to go to all of the parks inside of Disney World, you would at the least need 4 days....I'd go with 5 days if I were you.
