I would choose to be born in Cuba again without a penny, and at age 14 or so, come to the US. Having a tough time while you are little makes you see what really matters in life. That is about the only good a dictatorship does, forging great values in the people who oppose it. I would not trade those lessons for any comforts until I have learned them well. If you saw the movie 300, you saw that even the King put his son through great troubles. Had the child stayed at his house, with all his toys and servants, I doubt he could have developed the same vision of life, let alone become a hero :)
