A like an addition I heard from another philosopher (sorry, don't remember the name).

"Nothing is certain in life except death and taxes....but I'm not so sure about death."

There are multitudes of things I'm pretty sure about--corporations will be greedy, the sun will rise tomorrow, people lie, and 18 year olds are horny.....

However, I can never be certain of those things as there might always be an exception I've just not seen yet.

death and taxes...well those two things are still standing strong today as they did back then and as long as there are people living there'll be people dieing and as long as there's a dollar there'll always be taxes. but there are a few more smaller things such as repo man, aids, old cars never lasting, changing oil, and a little deeper mothers crying at weddings, fathers teaching sons the ways of the world and praying they got it right. and parents gitting sweaty hands when they have that little talk with their children about the birds and the bees. you see life is full of choices and in order to make right choices one has to learn from someone who has been there done that and walked away with the bumper sticker, therefore jest listening to someone older than you may change whats certain in your life. Death may come and Taxes may last but how they affect you is ... up to you. Wether you die with a smile or with a frown, wether you live broke or rich it up to you.

if life itself is uncertain as well.. how can we think that death is certain? What if life is just an illusion.. what makes you think that life is real? and, if it's not, how can the rest of things related to life be thought as real? I don't believe we can ascertain that something is real...
