...do you still have any stuffed animals on your bed?
What is the significance of them?

Not on my bed, but I have a teddy bear on my dresser. It was my husband's when he was a baby. He had a twin brother and they were born early and his brother died at birth and my husband would cry all the time when he was tiny until they bought that bear to put next to him because he missed his brother. It sat in a box forever until I sat it out. I think it kind of embarrasses my husband, though, when I tell people the story. He needs to blame his mom, though, because she's the one that told me.

Yes, I'm 25 and I sleep with a stuffed animal! My Great grandmother raised me and she gave me this teddy bear when I was a child, I've been sleeping with it ever since. I wash it every week so it's worn but my grandma's smell is still on it! I'd never get rid of it and maybe one day I'll have a child and give it away but until then it's all mine!

This indicates a couple things really.

For some it's comfort. They also don't like to feel alone.

Also, any kind of possession that has no essential function can be a subconcious way of communicating to others who you are or what you want them to think you are.

Most will get rid of stuff animals because they want to feel more mature and have people perceive them as more mature. They don't stop loving Mickey Mouse, but they do feel like people will think they are childish.

So.. for a guy. If the girls has lots of stuffed animals, you should note that she will probably desire alot of attention and comforting.

I do I sleep with it every night. Its kind of like a flat "stuffed" dog that I've had since I was 5. 16 years now thats a long time.

I still have a stuffed Pikachu. I have always loved Pok'emon ever since I was a child. Pok'emon brings back a lot of childhood memories.

yeah i do just one but it serves as a pillow to me all my other stuffed animals are in a net above my bed. Each one has its own story from had it since i was little to my late grandmother gave that one to me becasue she new i loved lions.

Yes, I do. A well worn old teddy bear that I still sleep with every night. I have had him for well over 20 years and cannot sleep without him.
