They are all very small nations/countries is the answer of all posts here. That's true, however, I don't think that was the answer the interviewer has in mind. These countries have in common that they are very rich, with a very high GDP/capita. But this may also not be the answer the interviewer had in his mind. These countries all have very low taxes and are considered as a tax paradise especially for foreigners. So many people invest their many in those areas just to save taxes. I think this is the answer the interviewer wanted.

They are small!
Luxembourg is a small country between France, Germany and Belgium. Its capital is Luxembourg. It playes an important role in the EU. Lichtenstein is a very small country between Switzerland and Austria. Its capital is Vaduz. Jersey is an Island. It's half british, half independant. Its status is weird. It is located in the Channel sea, and is close to France, very close. Isle of Man has the same kind of status that Jersey, it is located in the Irish sea, between Great Britain and Ireland.
So they don't have their status in common: some are countries, others not. They don't use the same currency. They don't speak the same language. I think that they have in common their size and capacity, during history, to resist and keep their (semi)independance.
