I was told by my boss last Tuesday not to say anything to my co-workers about a write up I rcvd I told no-one yet next day I was fired for "telling" one of my co-workers that I also considered a friend. I want so bad to get back at this person yet another part of me wants to just move on. By the way I was at this company for over 6 yrs and was about to top out salary.

move on...just don't deal with this person anymore-you know what they are like, but there's precious little you can do to change them. don't deal with that person anymore though. there's also precious little you can do about your situation except fight for unemployment until you find another job. you can sue or file complaints. you will most likely win....but there's a strong chance they will settle and not hire you. it's the nature of that beast. furthermore, "getting even" can result in you burning bridges you need to cross down the road. just learn from it and move on elsewhere.

While you're friend/co-worker did backstab you, don't forget the fact that it was your decision to tell them in the first place even after your boss told you not to. The truth is it's hard having friends that you work with, the best thing to do is to try to keep work as work and off-work as friend time. Sounds like you just received a write-up, so basically you were doing something or did something wrong. Perhaps that landed you on the chopping block and your boss had his target set on you because of that. I'm sorry for the situation, it sucks to be backstabbed, but I wish you well in the future with life and with a new career.

Sounds like your so called friend wants your job!!

I have a rule now after being screwed over time and again. People at work are never you friends!! Outside maybe but watch what you tell them!! Go to work be friendly but do your job and keep it professional as you can tell your boss really doesn't care about your side of the story!! Your boss decides who stays and goes and when it looks like some can't play properly they are gone!!

In most states, Paralegals can't preform any legal work without a lawyer over seeing their work. For example: You can't place ads in the paper or open up an office offering to write up divorce documents or legal documents. You would be charged with an unauthorized practice of law. check into your state laws about Paralegals before you assume you won't have to work for anybody.

Accept the part of you that tells you to move on. I have been in similar situations and until you "let go" you will only hurt yourself.

chalk it up to experience and move on. all these events give us fine tuning as we go through life. we learn more and more about being human and coexisting (living, working, playing, relaxing and being) with other human beings. it's all part of our training ....as we learn we decide what kind of person we are going to be

It's better to move on, if you don't this will only eat at you. It seems to be common to find a backstabber in any workplace.
