about a month and a half ago i got my industrial pierced and its not bleeding and it doesnt look infected but it is always very sore. I still havent been able to sleep on it and whenever its touched it hurts. the piercing guy told me just to use dial soap to clean it and i have been but i want to know if there is anything that is better or will help it heal. the soap is cleaning it but it seems to get very sore again very quickly. he said to stay away from rubbing alcohol because it will dry it out and i know lavender oil helps sometimes but i dont know what to use.

Ooh I used to have that. Took about a year to heal. Sleep on the other side until it doesn't hurt. It's kind of a pain but it's the only thing I can think of.

Use Bactine, it has pain reliever in it and it's antibacterial. You can buy it at any drugstore. Yeah..stay away from rubbing alcohol, it's super drying. Try also using Neosporin on the holes to help them heal faster.

If it is painful and you have had it that long you need to see a doc. Something is going on and yes it may be infected or irritated. DO not use dial soap. You should use something like benzalconium to clean it but see the doc first and get it checked. Since the piercing place doesn't seem to keep good cleaning products on hand to give you after you get a piercing I would never go back there. For now see the doc.

You could try Hydrogen peroxide for cleaning. I would put Neosporin on it too, it prevents infections, helps healing, and will give it a little numbness. I sure would consult a Doc if the pain keeps up. Good luck.

Try cleaning it in warm water and sea salt twice a day.
