For the most part it is due to technology. We sit at the computer (like now), we drive to the store (even if it is down the street) and we would rather, as a whole, find a miracle diet rather than exercise. Our children sit and play video games all day. A majority of our jobs are now helped out by technology so much that we basically dont have to do anything. We have remote controls for everything. That is how we are a lazy generation.

Well.... I don't remember saying it, but.... Three good indications:

1) Obesity is at an all time high as a national problem.

2) Fast food you don't have to get out of the car to eat.

3) And you can hardly (if you can at all anymore) buy a television that doesn't REQUIRE a remote to operate it.

I'd say in a competition of being lazy with the generations of history, we got 1st place locked up.

There are lazy people in every generation. I am of the baby boom generation and am very lazy and always will be. I have to force myself to do the simplest task. Also, as time goes by life in general gets easier. Think back to when this country was settled. Life was very difficult. Every member of the family who was old enough to work had to just to survive. During the great depression of the 1930's every family member had to contribute what they could. I remember my Dad telling about when he was a child, he picked a gallon of wild blackberries for 50 cents. And that money went to his Mother for household expenses. As a general rule I don't think every member of your generation is lazy, it's just that you have never had to work to survive as past generations have.

How can I? I don't have to, there are spokespeople on here all the time doing the talking. Take a look and see how many people are asking others to do their assignments and write theme papers for them on this site. That says it all, Jack, but that's just one example.

we want everything to be 'instant'. noodles and tv food instead of getting proper nutrients from cooking from fresh produce. we have video/computer games instead of having physical games outside our homes, contributing to obesity, lack of social skills, etc. we want everything delivered instead of going to the store to get the item, losing our chance of getting the exercise and socialization.
