I've been working at same place for 13 years..this year for some reason I lost complete interest and have no one to turn to for advice on whether to leave or how to reinvigorate my want to stay at the company. I could turn to some folks but it will be a bad political move should I decide to stay.

It sounds like you need to take a vacation. Give yourself some time away to really think about what you want. You have a lot of time invested, and it may not be a good move to leave now. However, if you are unhappy, it may be best. Keep in mind that no matter where you go, you run the risk of not liking the environment for whatever reasons. It sounds like you may just be experiencing burn-out. I'm sure after 13 years, you have vacation time. Take advantage of it and allow yourself to regroup! Good luck!

Well I feel the same way sometimes. It usually gets better after a while though. I have too much time invested to just leave. If you have pension or retirement benefits especially or you have earned vacation. It could suck worse if you leave to start over but maybe not. Also if you have a family to think about(wife/kids) it's hard to take a risk like that.

If you are dissatisfied, then what's the point? The company is making it's own money and doesn't care about you, so you shouldn't care about it.
