The machines they use are harmful to the environment; the exhaust eats away at the o-zone layer. (Which is already worn thin.)Also, with less trees to absorb CO2, the CO2 becomes harmful to the o-zone layer. (Which is, once again, already worn thin.)

Well you are going to have to be a bit more specific about what pollution you are talking about.

If you mean the wood chips and slash (branches trimmed off the main trunk).. if it is left in the forest it decays just as it would normally (and provides a habitat while it is doing that).

other then that what does the logger leave behind that you are referring to?
