I'm in a mixed race marriage. I've never been attracted to any one race though. I've always been open minded about dating all races.
The woman I ended up falling in love with, just happened to be white.
The saying that true love is color blind is absolutely true. After two years of being together, I can honestly say that we don't even see each other's color. We only see the person that we are still madly in love with.
An interracial relationship is like any other relationship.. it is what you make it. Whether it is outstanding, mediocre, or miserable (ours is outstanding by the way :), it all depends upon how you communicate and how you interact.
It is perfectly normal and as natural as any other kind of relationship, being that we are all of the same human species.
There are racists out there that hate one or both of us strictly based upon skin color.. but those people are complete idiots.
Love is love :)

While a natural strawberry blond might be my favorite, regardless of race, I'm attracted to most all hott looking females. I go with feelings and desires that nature provides.
The benefits are no different with any race, while the challenges are social and cultural understandings and adaptations. It's like becoming married outside a strong religious or political belief, where judgments abound and acceptance isn't freely given. Compatibility makes life a lot easier and since there are so many fish in the sea, why not do yourself a favor and find a comfortable fit.

I am not in a mixed race marriage. However, I was in a long term mixed race relationship. I personally find myself attracted to hispanic men. I duno why I just do. I think the only bennifits from such a relationship is you being with the person you care about. I can tell you that having family and friends who are open to it can help. If they arent, its going to be an uphill battle. I had to fight with my family on a constant basis about it. My best friend dates exclusively black men, she is white. She has a biracial child. She has the same issues. She gets harassed by people she doesnt even know. Her mother rufuses to acknowledge her boyfriend of 4 years and she has to lead 2 different lives pretty much. My point is, be with whomever you love, but do have a thick skin, there are always people waiting to say something to you... thats just the way it is in our country (USA). Good luck to you!

I am in a interracial marriage. My husband is white. Its not about being attracted to a certain race, its about the person you find and how they make you feel. I have found that there are no benefits or downers to being in an interracial marriage.

I am an Asian woman and am attracted to mostly Caucasian men. But I've dated Asian, African-American and Caucasian men. Ended up marrying a Caucasian man. I suppose it would be "easier" to marry within your own race, but sometimes, love doesn't care what society thinks.
The only downer in our relationship might be the language barrier that exists between our parents. My parents speak broken English and find it hard to communicate with my husband's parents. Other than that, everything's just peachy. :)

This could take up a page but, let`s start at the beginning,
If we couldn`t see would it matter where you came from, what colour you are, or anything else ? No of course not so, as far as I am concerned it doesn`t matter about whether you are mixed,,pink with green spots or just plain black to me You are a Human Being & that is all that matters.

Im not in a mixed race relationship. I do think that people need to stop being so closed minded about that type of thing. To each person his own.

the only factor that truly concerns is LOVE, genuine love, and love would not comprehend the races, the sexes, the religions, the cultures. If 2 human beings experience love, not something incredibly concerns. There are no alterations that would desire to be an impediment.
