Depends on your view on what cheating is.
Cheating is defined as an act of lying, deception, fraud, trickery, imposture, or imposition. Cheating characteristically is employed to create an unfair advantage, usually in one's own interest, and often at the expense of others[1]. Cheating implies the breaking of rules. The term "cheating" is less applicable to the breaking of laws, as illegal activities are referred to by specific legal terminology such as fraud or corruption. Cheating is a primordial economic act: getting more for less, often used when referring to marital infidelity.

*I don't think there is a right or wrong answer for your question, because everyone has their own opinions on what cheating is.*
*You might think cheating is when your boyfriend kisses another girl, on the other hand someone else may not think that kissing is cheating.
.So it's all a matter of personal opinions/morals/values/ethics/principle....blah blah blah.
*I say cheating is:
.Kissing someone else
.Touching someone else
.Sexual intercourse whether it's actually sex itself or oral.
.Constant communication that is not needed
.Phone calls.

If you feel the need to hide anything from your spouse regarding this person? I would say you are on your way or already have cheated.

Simply put it into prespective this way......
If your boyfriend or husband was doing this would it hurt you or piss you off? If you have to answer yes then what ever it is that you are doing is probably cheating.

If you aren't sure....don't do it! If you wouldn't like to have it happen to you; then don't do it to your significant other! There is emotional, and physical cheating - neither is good for a relationship.

Any act involving any other person which you would not want your partner to find out about for fear of hurting their feelings.
Cheating is not about exchange of fluids - its a state of mind
