It's time for the young guns to take up reins of Indian cricket. Ganguly no doubt is experienced and a dynamic leader. But Yuvraj Singh has some of the same qualities and has had some experience in being the stand-in captain. But aside from that the seniors will be in the team at the most for another 2-3 years. So it's better that BCCI start grooming somebody for captaincy. Virender Sehwag has let India down. Yuvraj Singh has been in the Indian team for almost 8 years now and is dynamic and can be a good leader who leads by example. Ganguly no doubt made India a fearless competitor but he should be a guiding force for Yuvraj now. Being a senior doesn't necessarily mean that he can be a good captain. But yes there is always the experience factor. But this experience should be used for the future of Indian cricket and not for some good performances over a short period of time. So I would hands down vote for Yuvraj.

I would say, Rahul Dravid is also a good captain , his poor captaincy was proved in the World Cup debate but before that Rahul Dravid proved that he was a good captain when he won 6-1, 4-1. One Day series against Sri Lanka, Pakistan respectively and he won Test Series against West Indies on WI soil and he was the first captain to win, he played a great captains knock.

As I would like to say, Rahul Dravid is a good captain and he can take Indian team to new levels with youngesters comming in and proving themselves.

But as answer to your question, I would not suggest Saurav Ganguly as the captain again cause if he becomes captain again his batting will get spoiled and he will making some poor scores, A captain must contribute to his team and that doesnt apply to Ganguly, He may be a good captain but not as a good players, first we need a good palyers and then we can have him as a captain second, so first let Ganguly concentrate on his batting and feliding. But Ganguly should not have the captaincy back again.

Yuvraj Singh, He has proven that he finish off games in style and thats what makes him a contender in your question. He has a quite exprience now and hope he had learned how to manage a team in pressure by watching Ganguly and Dravid. He is a learning player and he has more years to go as to become a captain.

If u compare, who is better, Ganguly or Yuvraj Singh, I would bet on the youngster Yuvraj Singh, who has a future and what a bright career beinging a captain of Indian team. He can manage on pressure situations and take good decisions when he wins a toss and cop up when he loses a toss and put a statgery and play according to his team plan.

I would say Yuvraj Singh. Infact Md. Kaif was the Captain and Yuvjaj his deputy when we won the Under 19 Wordl Cup and they both showed good talent both as players and also on running the game at the middle of the ground and not sitting and analyzing the game after it ends.

I dont think Dravid is a bad Captain. In his absence, I feel either Yuvaraj Singh or Dinesh Karthik will be the best choice.

I think.. Ganguli for 1 two series and keep Dinesh Kartik as V-Captain. After that Dinesh .. make him Captain and Kaif as V-Captain. Dinesh looks very talented and has good repo within team.
