Did AhmadinejadI really say that? And if he did, why is the US so preoccuied with this fact. It seems that we woud be going to war just to protect Israel since Iran has never threated the US to my knowledge.

The US is going to war with Israel because the US is a country of squatters, just like Israel. There is land. It is considered undeveloped. They go, take it over from the people who live there and do what they want with it, then set up a nation. It has happened time and again and is always messed up, but it happens. the world is messed up like that. Sucks doesn't it? Wherever something is being taken from someone, it is guaranteed that someone somewhere else is going to try to take it back or take it away. That's just the way it is.
