Sprays like bitter apple, no chew, there's tons of them. They are made with some sort of herb and enzyme thing and are nasty nasty. I got some on my hand once while I was making spaghetti for dinner. I had sprayed some on a shoe the (then puppy) was chewing on I didn't realize it ran back down the pump. I then got some sauce on my finger while stirring it licked the sauce off and got a taste of the stuff. I couldn't eat dinner I was so nauseous. It taught her not to chew things real fast. You can spray it on most fabrics and wood finishes without damaging.

Labs are known for chewing on everything in sight. You will want to start off by getting him a chew toy or a bone. If he has his own toy you will want to punish him for chewing on your stuff. People might think I am mean for saying this, but it worked for me. When my dog would chew on my stuff I smacked him on the but with what ever he was chewing on. I didn't do it hard. I did it just hard enough to scare him. I only had to repeat this process a couple times. He learned real quick.

Make sure he has LOTS of toys! Any time he starts to chew on something he shouldn't, sharply and loudly say no and give him a toy instead. It'll take time, so be patient! My puppy wasn't learning it this way, so I took a soda can and filled it with rocks and taped it up. Any time he started to chew on something I shook the can and the loud noise would make him stop. He then started to associate the sound with chewing and stopped chewing. But if you do this, make sure you shake the can behind your back because you don't want him to be scared of you and associate the sound with you! Either way, just make sure you're patient and your puppy will get it eventually! Good luck :)

when my puppy what chewing things (chair legs, shoe laces, my flip flops) he would get a stern yell and then I bought the bitter apple for the furniture and gave him things he could chew on, toys, raw hides. We also crate-trained him, then kept him in the kitchen when we were not home. Now he has the run of the house and doesn't chew a thing. Good Luck.

get down to the dogs level and yell 'bar' at him/her. this sounds like a growl to them and tells them that thier pack leader is not happy with them, after a while they will learn not to chew things.

you could also buy a chew toy (my dog personally HATES squeeky toys but others love them) and train them to chew the toy instead. Or you could buy a reward ball, you place a treat in the bakk and the dog has to work out how to get the food out. supposed to keep them entertained for hours. but if your dog only eats when hungry it isn't a good choice

Have lots of chewy toys and nylabones handy (they love nylabone puppy bones). Each time, and I mean each time, you catch him chewing something he shouldn't, tell him NO. Replace the bad thing with a good chewy thing and say, in a sweet voice, good boy!!

It takes time and consistency, but has worked with every dog I've ever owned, fostered and taken care of. Good luck!!

Get him a chew toy, and find a cool way to punish him, when he heads for something other than his toy. Teach him to listen, while he's young, cause he's not gonna get any smaller, dear!!

Tell him no and give him something he can chew on, until he's older at 12 weeks he's too young to understand what he is doing wrong.

Tell him no, give him something it is ok to chew on and praise him, go to a pet store and buy the cream to put on (apple bitter I think, they do not like it).

You need to have lots of toys he can play with and chew.

They need to be treated as babies do.
Give them hard interesting stuff to chew on. Even bones.
Remove slippers and shoes.
Get that spray. Go to a pets shop and get help.

You have to train him.
