I've done it before and found that I spread myself too thin and ended up not doing the best I could for either job. If it's something you have to do then its best to make the second job something with short hours or something you won't mind giving up if the need arises. 2 jobs can also cause relationship problems if you're not really secure in that area. Good Luck, Eric.

employment hours overseas are sometimes different than American so it's hard to advise what to do. In America if you work 8 hours a day, break for dinner and work say another 3 hours at a business on the way home then things could work nicely. In some countries they work 10-12 hours on a job and so it's difficult for them to get the evening job. Americans also get weekend jobs and maybe that's more feasible for someone from another country...or MLM's (either working online or thru catalog type sales) are good because you work at your own pace, or having your own small business selling a product or teaching something you know once or twice a week for a couple of hours), or doing small income things on the internet wherein if you fall asleep while doing it you can catch up later.
Americans are short on sleep anyway, but the usual is 6 hours of sleep, and Americans are known to multitask. It doesn't mean the job is done super well, it just means the job gets done.

It depends on the demands in your life already...if you have children at home, not a good idea. You will not be able to strike a balance no matter how hard you try.
If no obligations at home, it could go either way. I have done this...several times. Any time the second job required a lot of physical or mental effort, it affected me the next day. But once, I worked at a video store nights and weekends....it really didn't require a lot so it didn't affect me so much.

I have worked 80 hours a week for 3 years before. It was hard, but I really needed to pay bills. If you are married, this could be hard on your marriage, if not married, you do not have much of a social life. If you are a high energy person, you will be able to pull it off without any problems. I wouldn't work more than 20 hours extra a week so you can have time to do other things.

advisable? depends on the circumstances. Do you need the money? Can you trim from your budget? Are you just bored and need something to do (hard to believe that from your websites and profiles)? It probably means no friends/relationships, or at least on a very limited time line. Can you live with that? I would advise at least the second/part-time job be a no-brainer so that you have some "down time" even though you're working. Just remember, YOU always come first.

I cant really answer this question because it needs more details, such as what is your job and the second job you are planning to undertake. By part time at night if you mean like 2-5 hours, I guess thats ok unless your jobs are crucial such as staying on the computer all day(Bad Health). Or carrying really heavy things(Also bad for health eventually).

You can do it.
I did, I worked 3 jobs and took 18 hours at college each semester.
You will be really tired and never have time to see your family, I did it to get thru school.
Now I work one job about 50 to 60 hours a week and love it.
Have time off and time for the family.
Good luck to you.

well, i have worked 10 hour shifts before and i don't really advise you to do it for a long time because of the following reasons:
-burns you out and you may not perform well at your regular 8-5 either
- you will have no chance to meet with friends so you will feel isolated
- will not have time on yourself.
however, if you really need the $$ then go for it, give it a shot and see if you can do it.
