Will you save your immediately family member(blood related)(i.e. mom, dad, brother, sister)?

or

Your friend(not blood related)(i.e. you grew up together or you've met in junior high, high school, college, or at work) whom you both care about deeply?

When both are hanging by a rope that's about to break that's saving them from 500 feet to their death.
They both are hanging from a separate rope about 50 feet apart. You are in the middle. You only have time to save one & there's nobody else around to save the other.

You cannot sacrafice them both. You have to make a choice. One or the other. There's no middle ground. They are about to fall. You have no time to think. You need to make decision now. Sorry.

And why did you make that choice?

That's a tough one. I would love to say with 100% certainty that I would save my blood relation but I can't. I have one friend that has been there for me when my family hasn't; has & will do everything she can to help me & has young kids; so I could seriously see myself saving her since she has so much to live for. Now if it were saving her or one of my own children I would be able to say with 100% certainty that I would save my child before anyone else.

I guess a lot of my decision would be between WHICH relative it was hanging from that rope and my relationship with them and which friend it was. The one that has always been there for me from childhood up IS like a sister to me; whereas my own sister is practically a stranger. I guess it would all depend on the situation.

How about yourself? You asked us that question now I pose the same question back to you.

I would save the family member. Blood is thicker. (whatever that means). I would rather continue life without the friend than without the family member.

I would hate to be in that situation, but if I was, I'd have to save my family member or let go and save them both. My family comes first and always will.

depends, if it was my brother or sister i would save my friend and with my dad too. my sister and brother- i just plain hate them, my father was barely around he would always say he would be here for my talent show but never show up

but my mom, when we're not arguing we are like best friends, so i would save her. why? because i can talk to her about anything and my friend, it's sad but true, i can't, because you can't take back what you say to them and your mother will always forgive you.

In my opinion, I would save the one who had fought for my life, consoled me, and the ones who believe in me no matter what I do wrong. So I would choose m family memeber.

I would save the one with the best and most sacrificial life. The one that had the most and best life ahead of them. God would agree. Did you see the movie "The Good Son"??
