i do not know if this is true or not, but Edgar Cayce, who was a psychic prophet in the early 1900's was asked about the city of atlantis and he said they were a civilization that was around 10,000 years ago. they were incredibly technologically advanced as they were capable of harnessing energies that enabled them to make air and water craft that were powered through crystals harnessing the suns rays. he claims that we are all, including jesus, reincarnated souls of the atlantean civilization. he also says there is a hall of records that describes humans past as far back as 10 million years buried in a tomb underneath the right paw of the sphinx. aerial thermal photographs and other methods of detecting underground tunnels or chambers have shown there is definitely something under there but it is to hard to get down there as they sphinx is loaded with traps. he said that atlantis was destroyed as a result of a split in their culture and a overcharging of these crystals caused the ultimate demise of atlantis. whether this is true or not i do not know, i am not saying this is the right answer by any means but edgar cayce did some fascinating things with his hypnotic visions. It would be foolish to not at least consider the possibility as the universe has been around for 14 billion years and the earth is 4.5 billion years old. to say it is impossible for an ancient civilization to have been around with capabilities beyond our own is ignorant. its estimated there are 100 billion stars in our galaxy alone and 200 billion galaxies in the visible universe, so there is definitely others out there, possibly who have been here on earth from the beginning.

According to some people it doesn't exist yet. I found some books that gave me a mind boggling sense of just what it is.
Maybe a trick of the mind (but why do SO many people see it)
A parallel reality (basically not physical to us but it does still exist somewhere)
Or a projection on the future (Advanced technology possibly not in our reality yet)
