My problem is that I have some traded pokemon that are above level 11. I won the first badge but the pokemon that I traded are not always listening to my battle commands. If anybody has any idea how I can remedy this, I would appreciate it.

Once you get the second badge; all pokemon to level 30 will obey you. So just hold off on raising the pokemon over 11 until you get the second badge and then you'll have no trouble.

like in sapphire,ruby, and emerald u need 8 badges if u played those games you wouldn't ask that question and yes traded pokemon don't listen 2 u until u get the right bades. just keep that traded pokemon with u it will do as it sees fit but sometimes it does the command u ask it 2.
