First take your battery out of the car have it slowed charged for at least eight to ten hours to bring the battery to full charge.( quick charges do not fully charge a battery they only recharge it about 85%) after you have recharged yur battery to full capacity, have your charging system checked again if you have just replaced the Alternator then you have a wiring problem somewhere in you charging system that is not letting the Alt replinish the Energy it is using to start the car nor is it keeping the car running after it starts. So the car is running off the Battery all the time till it becomes drained.

these cars have many wiring issues but there is one thing that I can pin point as a possible problem. there is a large in-line fuse mounted on the intake manifold in a long black plastic holder. this fuse protects the alternator from short circuits and is in the wire that the alternator uses to recharge the battery. this applies to the 4 cylinder engine. if this fuse is blown or looses connection the alternator will not charge. I have also gotten more than one bad reman alternator for this application.

Aside from what everyone else has said, Alternators sometimes come from the factory bad, and need just a little bit of mileage before failing, have someone at a parts store, i.e. O'Reilys, AutoZone, or PepBoys. They should be able to load test your battery.

Take your car to an auto parts and check your battery under load to see if it is good and make sure that your ground wires are good and tight.

After you check or replace battery, test the alternator to make sure is charging.

Yeah, you may have a bad battery. You should also check the wiring. Make sure no wires are touching metal and shorting your car's circuit.

It isn't impossible that you got a bad alternator. I would take the new alternator off and have it tested.
