Let me first start by saying I'm sure there are some good men out there but where? I've been reflecting on my life and it seems like the men in my past and the men now have let me down. I've lost a home and my children at one point,lost my self respect at many times and all I want is someone to love unconditionally (besides my children) and someone who wants to spend the rest of their life loving and caring for me without being such a "jerk". Is that sooo much to ask for???

That person doesn't exist.
Some men deserve bashing. They don't ALL deserve bashing.
You don't want to bend over backwards for a man as you just said- why should he bend over backwards for you? It's a two way street and you meet in the middle.
True love is about compromise. Nobody's perfect and it would be very boring to be married to someone that only did what you wanted. The reason the divorce rate is so high in this country is because some people think the first time the toilet seat gets left up or dinner gets burned it's time to throw in the towel. That's not so.

The same can be said of some women using men then walking off without a backward glance. So its bad, sometimes on both sides of the road. Its like a giant chess game and people so involved in the game making the same moves over and over again and losing. It never occurs to them that they need to move to another game and get a fresh start and a fresh outlook. In other words don't play with game sharks play with decent people.

WOW! someone is obviously taking it hard. i cant talk much i am married and get sh!t on just about everyday and i know he wont cheat because thats just against everything he believes in, but he's a lying sack of &^%*. i do not man bash in general...i just pish and moan untill i get over it then he disappoints me another way. basicall hun, your gonna waiste your life by always being on guard against men, and at the same time will hate yourself if you "fall for it" again. basically life is life and the only way to be sure you wn meet the wrong man again, is to not meet them at all. try personal ads or online local things...talk for a long time "as in this case my mother did after 19 years of dealing w/ my fathers lies and drug addictions and abusivness" she went online the day he finally left and started looking, just to say she did and to help ease the pain, met someone that day, talked online for about a mo. or two and were married six months later, the one time she made a stupid decision on impulse, it worked, he is the greatest man anyone could ask for and they have been married for about 6 years. so get the man bashing phase over and THEN go do something for you!

give a personal t*oy a mans name and you can make him do exactly what you want when you want it. Other than that, I dont think there is much hope for you while you still feel so negative toward men. Change the way you look at them and Mr. right will come along....or just experiment with Mr right now instead.
