Is there any difference in the nutrients contained therin?

Why waste them? Most breads are basted with a liquid glaze before they are baked. The crust lets the bread be handled without damage. It looks attractive. It helps prevent loss of moisture and infiltration of mold. If the crust has gotten moldy or dirty, don't eat it. Otherwise, it has as much nutritional value as the crumb (the inside).

Apple and potato skins are different. Wash them to remove all dirt, insecticides, etc. They contain a much higher concentration of nutrients than the interior, and also different nutrients.

I remember the old saying that it makes your hair curly but I think with white bread they take all the nutrients out and then they add them in again. I think they should just leave the bread alone and stop messing with our food.

I don't know if there is a difference in the nutritional value of crust, but my mom said if I ate them, I'd whistle better.
