Ya know what, I suppose they can! Wouldn't it simply mean the opposite of backfire? If a plan backfires it doesn't work out, so if a plan frontfires it does! How neat is that! Great question.

A good plan can frontfire in a positive way--make a better future for yourself.
A bad plan can frontfire in a bad way--look at all of the people that lost money in the 90's with junk stocks.
