Replaced wires, cap, rotor last year they look ok and measure within spec. I even use fuel injector cleaner does not seem to help the problem. I also notice that a trace of coolant under the distributor so I change out the heater hose and problem did not go away. That a sensor with one wire on it. What is this sensor anyway? Could that be the problem. I see somemoisture on the wiring boot too. The car drives normal in the afternoon when I leave work. It starts up right away! The engine sounds normal and runs at 34MPG . What can be wrong? Any info will be great. Thanks in advance!

I'm a a retired auto mac., and I have seen this happen a few times. You're problem sounds like a fuel pump pressure check valve. You're car has a pressurized fuel system to enable it to spray fuel out the injectors. The fuel pump provides the fuel under a certain amount of pressure. The pressure doesn't drop off to a critical point during the day time, but you let the car set long enough, such as 8 to 12 hours at night, and the defective pressure valve allows the pressure to drop of too low to start. To compound the problem, you are using the battery juice on the starter trying to start the car, and the pump can't get enough to build the pressure up. Try turning the key on and off several times before hitting the starter. This will allow the pump to build pressure before you try to start. The only fix is either using the key on and off method or replace the pump. Good luck.
