I am unable to watch videos over the Internet. For example, if I go to Youtube and attempt to watch a video, they would say 'you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player.' I have Macromedia Flash Player 9, but still can't watch the videos.

Oh yes, once I got the same problem at that time I had re installed Flash Player and Java more than five times and the problem remained there.

Later what I did which helped me.
I un installed flash player and Java
Then clear History/Cookies/ Trash Bin
This time installed Flash Player and Java once again
then re started computer. Everything worked fine.

Would you please try. Better install all latest version.

Reinstall all Flash player and java plugins again. You probably need it to get rid of some bad or corrupt plugins

we have the same problem. even in the yahoo............maybe you have a low amount of disk space or you have to restart your comp.
