My son is very very gassy and I am not sure which bottle is better for him. The drop ins seem to be a pain, but Im not sure about the VentAire. They both say something about less air and gas, but I would like other mother's experiences... Any help is greatly appreciated.

By no means are the drop-ins a pain! It's actually a lot better then a normal bottle. You only have to wash the nipples and can carry the bags with powder in them instead of bringing 2-3 bottles when you go out! I think they are great. All you have to do is push up on the bottle and the air is gone. Convenient in all ways possible. I hope this helps!

For my second and third children I used the Ventair. They really do help with the gas. My second had real bad colic and when I found these bottles she got better. I used them with my son and he never had any problems at all. They are real easy to clean...the bottom comes off as well as the top. I thought that they were more sanitary then regular bottles. I tried the drop ins for my second daughter and she could not latch onto the nipples...they were too wide. The VentAir is a better choice.

I loved the Playtex Drop Ins, I used them with both my boys and plan on using them with my daughter. The are very convenient, you don't have a whole bottle to wash which can be a pain and you can see how much air comes out when you push up on the liner. Your baby has much less gas. That was the whole reason I started using them with my oldest when he was a baby because he had such a gassy problem, but once I started using those it made a major difference. I have recommended them to a lot of friends over the years and the friends that used them ended up loving them!! Good Luck!!

I used the VentAire with my 2 daughters. I think the next baby I am doing Drop Ins. Less work and I believe there isn't as much air in them.

I would try them both with your baby. I always liked the drop-ins for disposability and I was able to squeeze every last bit of air out. I don't trust the vent-air to do as good of a job. I believe some of the drop in bottles have a push up bottom to squeeze all the air out, and you can actually see there is no air in the bottle. Just my personal preference. I also liked them because all i had to do was drop the nipples into boiling water to sterilize and I didn't have to worry about the bottles.
Also a little tip, I was able to find the liners at the dollar store, $1.00 for 100 of them!

PLAYTEX DROP-INS!!!!!!! I used to use Dr. Brown's bottles and they didn't do a damn thing and they are supposed to be the best. Not only were they expensive but they didn't work. Also there are 5 parts to each bottle that you have to clean. I recently switched to the drop ins and they have made my life so uch easier. Also, you can squeeze all of the air and bubbles out which you can't do with regular bottles. I would go with them. Good Luck.

My son chokes on the ventair nipples. He never took to them. He loves the dropins. Thats the only bottle he takes now. I think they are great. I buy the generic liners and they are like half the price. If you use them make sure you push all the air out before you feed him. That helps reduce gas. Good luck!

PLAYTEX DROP INS ARE A GOD SEND! No sterilizing and boiling, so much easier. Drop in the liner and go. Dependent on which type of nipple you purchase, once you boil them the first time, you never have to boil them again. Less dishes for Mom! You squeeze the excess air out before giving it to the baby so it helps with gas tremendously.

Both are great but it depends on which bottle nipple you son prefers. I would try both and let him decide which one he prefers. They are both great for reducing gas. So which ever one you decide to go with will be just fine.

My first daughter prefrered the drop ins and my second prefers the ventaire. So I would let your little one decide which one he would prefer out of the two.

Best of luck
