after the milkmen left it.A bird had pecked through the lid. After just using the last of it in my cuppa,I noticed a small slug at the bottom, inside the milk bottle.I feel sick now!
I know its not a question.I just wanted to share it.

haha, that's disgusting! I've only ever had slugs on the outside of the cartons. It's the worst thing when you're half asleep and taking in your milk from the doorstep!Takes a few mins to realise what that gooey thing is!!! Wakes me up pretty quick then!!
A dog used to steal our milk from the door. My dad was going mad, thought the milkman wasn't delivering to us but still charging, then one morning we caught the dog!!!

Urrgh! How horrible for you. Blue **** are usually the birds responsible. It used to be possible to buy caps for the tops of milk bottles. The only thing you can do is to buy a large enough container with lid and ask your milkman if he'll place the bottles of milk in it.

Wanted to share the experience or the slug? Did you manage to save it? Research suggests that mouth to mouth is the best form of resuscitation followed by two small electric shocks applied to its upper abdomen.
Probably best to carry this out outside of the bottle otherwise you might get stuck in there with the equipment.
Good luck.

Ha, I haven't had milk delivered in years. I used to think it was great though especially when you got the cream off the top, you don't get that anymore - a bit like white dog poo. Anyway I seem to remember my Mom used to put the tops from aerosols out so the milk man (John his name was) could put them on top of the milk to stop the birds having a go.

O that's not nice i feel for you, Might be a good idea to let your doctor know as the slug might have eaten slug pellets that gardeners use and they contain poison..
