I usually think of cowboys as pretty dumb guys without any respect for the law and an absurd fondness for guns who live on ranches and ride horses (or drive big rednecky trucks these days).
He sounds like a cowboy to me. I don't know what the appeal is in being called a cowboy, it's not much different than being called a redneck, a hoosier, a peasant. Why anyone would claim it as a good thing is beyond me.

I am a Texan...who lives here full time. Please do not insult REAL cowboys by calling Bush one. He is not. I would rather vote for a REAL cowboy for president than the likes of bush.
