My Mother made excellent Rolls, and Breads.
Watch the cooking shows on TV that may
feature Bread making. I've seen a few.
It does take practice.

May be you didn't leave it in the oven long enough. Ormay be try putting cement in the mixture; that should make it solid hard but I can't guarantee it will be edible.
