Calculus explores two major ideas...
1. The slopes of graphs of all types of functions at any given point (they use derivatives for this) .. as well as the behavior of functions near undefined values and when the domain values get very large or very small (they call these limits).
2. The areas of irregular shapes or volumes of irregular solids. They use techniques of integration to find these.
Both branches of calculus (differential and integral) involve a great deal of algebraic manipulation and geometric concepts, so be sure to learn your algebra and geometry! Many Calculus students will tell you that they have less trouble learning the actual Calculus concepts than in doing the algebra and trigonometry techniques necessary to solve many of the calculus problems.
The first link gives you glimpse into limits.
The second gives a long explanation with examples of differential calculus
The third link covers just about every topic introduced in calculus and has some interesting animation links for each topic.

you could evaluate taking a math direction in the process the summer time at your community college. Geometry and Algebra are distinctive subjects yet i could nevertheless propose you're taking Geometry first then Algebra 2 in case you're making plans on doing Pre Med i could be sure you concentration on all your technology classes like AP/Honors Biology & Chemistry, additionally if the alternative is obtainable take summer time college at your community college.

y=2x^(2)+5x+2
so
dy/dx=4x+5
also integration, look it up on the net, fun stuff. There are alot of new concepts, but you have to be extremely sound in algebra to get it.
