why do be like earth art?

i am a student in south America i would like to know why people like earth art

You know, I never really thought about it. I like sand paintings (southwest US) too. I'm not sure why it's so appealing; maybe it's like water in its soft tones and flowing style. I just find it soothing to look at. You might want to specify, though, exactly what you mean by "earth art" so that we're all thinking about the same thing..
