I have a headache, now that sort of travels down to my neck... I really want to go to sleep, but that could be from a late night. Am also only a little dizzy and lose track of thought. It doesn't feel that serious right now.

Also, is it vital to see a Dr.? I don't have health insurance.

I don't think it's concusion as you have no ther symptoms.
Go lay down and rest with a cool cloth on your neck after taking some Panadol.
Go see a Doctor though if you still feel the same way tomorrow or you get worse today.

you probably just brought on a headache from banging your head, its to be expected i suppose.

it might be mild concussion, do you feel dizzy or sick if you tilt your head backwards? if you do then wait a few days and if it doesnt improve then go to doctors.

concussion can be long lasting. i took a 15 man beating once and apart from loosing a tooth was thankfully uninjured, apart that is, from a mild concussion that lasted around 6 months!!!! doctor called it punch drunk.

although i doubt being hit with a door would be so drastic, please take care.

If after several days you still have the same feelings or worse, that would be reason to call for a nurse or physicians summation of symptoms... most hospitals have hot lines to answer yor questions for free of charge... also the ER can't turn down anybody without insurance and every hospital has a Charity Care program for patients that can't afford to pay for services... I think it will blow over without consequences.

It sounds mild, but if you get sick to your stomach, you might want to visit a 'doc in a box' just to be sure. There have been a few rare cases where the person thought they were fine after a head trauma but actually had bleeding of the brain that eventually killed them.

If you feel nauseous, then it could be a concussion. Otherwise, doubtful.
