idk, my brain would say 7x=16
is that right?

7x=14
x=2

5x + 1 = 15 - 2x

5x + 1 + 2x = 15 - 2x + 2x

7x + 1= 15

7x + 1 - 1 = 15 - 1

7x = 14

7x / 7 = 14 / 7

x = 14/7

x = 2

=> 5X+2X=14
=> 7X= 14
=> X=2[ans.]

Keep x one side and numbers one side

If + comes crosses = it will become -

so

5x+2x=15-1
7x=14
x=14/7
x=2

-1 -1 get the num. on the same side

------------- divide 7 on each side
