I posted this very same question last night and only got 2 serious answers, Yes I was and still am appalled at this, how can such cruelty to children be seen in they eyes of g-d or the lord almighty as being right?? I am not what you would class as a truely religious person, but I do have beleifs, and that is certainly not one of them, how can they be so callous and cruel and say it is the teaching and following of the message of g-d.The thing that realy got ot me was tha way in which the parents are towards it all like it is rightcheous to do so, poor kids, how can any one hide behind their beleifs to perpatrate such cruel teachings and punishment. no wonder some people grow up screwed up. enugh said as I am just getting angry now. bless up.There are an awfull lot of religious nutters out there methinks!!!

Yes it is wrong to hit children especially when they claim it to be 'in the name of God'. Our neighbours are bringing their children up similarly - I don't think quite as viciously but i know they have smacked hard as we have heard it and they yell at them and do not allow the children to play with all the others thus isolating them. They are not allowed to listen to pop music or watch programmes on TV that other children are watching and talking about. I think this kind of over control is tantamount to a form of child abuse - children should be playing and interacting outside it is how life skills and lessons are learnt! Sorry I got carried away - yes I saw it and it is wrong wrong wrong!!

Yeah - 2 hippies offered a lion cub from Harrods (?!?) in 1969 and stored it of their flat basically off the King's street ... a delightful Vicar permit it run around in his walled-off backyard yet he began to have some doubts approximately this while it tore considered one of his parishioners to shreds* because of the fact she went close to his little plastic ball ... no wellbeing and secure practices in those days!

Hi I avoided it, which is bad I know, but as a mum of two ( 9 and 6) who doesnt even smack, I knew I would get upset. Everywhere I look lately parents are upsetting me by treating their children badly.
