do you think the world will end...?

Question

there are many theories, like the film day after tomorrow, the war of the worlds ect..
but do you think the world will end, of will humans just be wiped out?
how will it happen!?!?

It could be 28 minutes from now or 280 years from now. When the superpowers square off against each other in two camps, then come back and we'll talk apacolpse.

Until then, just think regional conflicts, wars between rump states, proxy wars and brinksmanship. If you recall the Yom Kippur War in 1973, a coalition of Arab States (Egypt, Syria and Jordan) were soundly defeated by the Israelis. That was a worse situation than the current conflict and it didn't raise a blip on the world war radar (not that it didn't have the potential to spark a global war).

The next World War will involve a nuclear exchange, how could it not. In the first 30 minutes, nearly a billion people will have been vaporised, mostly in the US, Russia, Europe, China and Japan. Another 1.5 billion will die shortly thereafter from radiation poisoning. The northern hemisphere will be plunged into prolonged agony and barbarity.

Eventually the nuclear winter will spread to the southern hemisphere and all plant life will die. You ask when is the apacolypse, you are asking when will we commit global suicide. My answer is it won't happen soon because the larger superpowers are more rational than the rump states in the middle east.

Our biggest risk is an accidental launch of nukes by one of the nuclear powers.

I guess you mean human life since worlds end all the time. Or we think they do.
Given all the horrible things we can do to others it is possible human life could be depleted but never totally extinguished.
Our bodies are the stuff of stars and we like them will change form and start over.
There is a power beyond our understanding.
Call it what you will.

The people will either die out, or evolve, as will many of the other animals. Later, much later, the world will end properly. As in, the universe will contract, or the world will explode. The sun expanding, or getting too far away may damage the chances of life, and make us extinct, but evolution will manage.

I think so,because the bible says that god will come on a cloud and will save only those who believe and it does'nt matter where in the world they located he will find us.Also the world will reunite again.The global warming is also a fact were some say this is a step closer for the world to end.The tsunamis,the hurricanes and earthquakes all of those are signs from god.I also think that there will be a world war 3 between christians and moslims.But if you believe in god truely he will save you.

The world may not end, we humans survive using our brains. Who's to say that when the sun is just about to pop it's clogs, we humans don't come along and save the day! and the night, and the sunrise and the sunset.......

We'd just import a similar sun using the vast technological advances at our disposal!

Our planet will - in several billion years - be unable to support life as the sun continues to expand and consume the planets. Our fate as a species is sealed, the question remains how soon.

the world will end, that is a given. the sun will expand in it's aging process and swallow us all up. we'll be little earthbound toaster strudel.
what happens to us depends on how far we have advanced technologically in the 25 million years or so it will take ofr this to happen. the bigger question remains whether or not we will be here then anyway, which i suppose i do not know.
