Not quite. . .may I suggest "so I would be able to work hard at the job."

You see, 'to set aside time' means that you will have to GIVE UP some other work to do this job. You have already said that you are available since "I am currently on temporary rest" you say. So use the phrase I suggest for better communication.

Hello there,

You could use "set aside", but I would write the sentence like this: "I have temporarily deferred my studies, so I would be able to SET time ASIDE for the job". When using setting aside, you usually speak of "setting something aside". Perhaps a better way of saying this would be "I have temporarily deferred my studies, so I am currently available to work", or a similar sentence. Hope this helps:

Regards,

Crafty
