It's better to sell them directly to customers because shops have to charge sales tax and also need at least a 100% mark up and there's not usually enough margin in there for both parties.
Craft markets are a good place to start as is Ebay (for things that are easy to send such as cards) so you can get a feel for the market. Also try school fairs, community events, gift fairs etc.

That's a pretty broad question... there are lots of ways and venues.

Hi, check out etsy.com, it is a forum for artists to buy and sell online. Ebay is a reasonable source as well, just pick the right category! I have had good luck with both!
