The seatbelts in my car will not retract for nothing. It's the same story for every car of my model. It's juts a bad design. I've traced the flaw down to the retractor. It's just not powerful enough to pull the belt in the way it is setup. Anyone know of anything I could replace it with that would be more powerful?

The seat belt web may have become fouled with body oils and became sticky. Clean the seat belt web I use detergent and water. Pay attention to the top loop where the belt turns down the "B" post it gets sticky there too. After the seat belt has dried spray with silicone lubricant This will fix most seat belt retraction problems. And do not modify or alter the seat belt serious injury can result. Some car manufactures warranty seat belts as long as you drive the car so some help may be available from the manufacture.

If you remove the whole seat belt assembly and have a look around your local scrap yard for a replacement unit.
You need to consider that the seat belt is a primary safety device and you should really not mess with it.
Inside the re-tractor there is a constant tension spring that should last for many years, however some times cheap supply results in the spring losing tension over time.
If the car is new and has still got its warranty in place take the car back to the garage and get them to sort it out.
