mobile data cards are a very expensive way to connest as you pay around £30 a month and a few pounds for every mb of data! ideal if you're an executive but not for normal web use!!

you could spend £20 - 50 on a cable for your mobile, but this will use your call time and be a lot slower than you are used to at work!!

if you are near a mobile hotspot and only need occasional use you could try this way but once again it is not the cheapest waay to cruise the net!

the cheapest way would be to get broadband in the office or if they have a network there ask if it is ok to connect your pc to the network, (Some bosses are ok with this as it will not cost a thing!!)

otherwise, get a phoneline ect ect....

You need to buy a flash USB wireless Lan converter (thingy).

I'm using one right now!

About 50 notes.

I'm not paying for a thing, connected to some open wireless network.

An easy alternative to this is to use your mobile phone as a GPRS modem, if you have a GPRS enabled phone and connection.

Just connect the phone to the laptop with a cable (or bluetooth) and use the phone as a modem.

If your company won't pay for Internet Access, leave your laptop at home.
