change fuel filter, air filter, experiment with different fuel, and make sure your tire pressure is correct.

well your neon only has a 10-11 gallon capacity which means your only getting around 20 mpg try these things to improve it. 1. check your tire pressure and make sure it is within specs. of the tire manufacturer usually around 32 psi. 2. change the filters air and fuel 3. get a basic tune up you know like spark plugs and wires. if these things dont help you may have a problem with a sensor like your oxygen sensor or your mass air sensor if your check engine or service engine soon light is on then it is the sensors that are causing your problem. good luck

There can be many reasons for having bad gas mileage

Try cleaning your Injectors
Change fuel filter
Change Air filter
Check brakes make sure they are not dragging
Check Emissions
Clogged Fuel return line
check throttle postion sensor
check map sensor (manifold air preasure sensor)
If check engine light is EVER On your gas mileage will decrease almost by a 1/3 because your engine will not go in to open loop. Stays in diagnostic mode.

Clean your car out. Extra weight like in the trunk will make your car have to work harder to drive faster = extra gas. Change engine air filter, check tire pressure, and don't drive your car too hard (example.. taking off after the light turns green, and making hard stops...)...also driving too fast on the interstate, going above the speed limit will burn your gas..
200 miles on a full tank that is unbelieveable. I have a pontiac sunfire and i can drive 4 and a half hours on 1 tank.

I put in 10 dollars and cannot go as far. One customer told me? Reset the trip meter when you fill up and divide by the gallons it took to go those miles. Driving in first and second gear around town mileage is almost the worst you can do. Many customers say there truck get only 14 miles a gallon I fill them up drive 30 freeway miles and put in 1.2 gallons (25mpg) and I have to tell them there is nothing wrong with there truck just the way they drive.

Arab counties hated Bush so as that they drove up oil expenditures. They did a similar subject to Carter interior the Seventies and he became a democrat. Presidents have not have been given any administration over that stuff, it is why we would desire to speculate in sparkling capacity rather of residing like its 1955.

How many gallons to fill your tank? Try running three tanks of high test gas and blast down the highway and clear some corbin out of the exhaust system(it works for my car)

You need to have the car checked out at a garage, they will be able to diagnose what is the problem. Potentially it could be the air filter, air flow sensor, timing or fuel air ration.
