There are literally thousands of CODEX for all sorts of uses, I have no idea why some people choose to put there files into such difficult formats. a Multi codex should resolve the problem but it is not easy to find the right one, it is probably better to find a player that will play all formats. Some DVD players will not play all formats ie DVD + or DVD - it is very complected I know. My own DVD player that is connected to my TV will only record on DVD + yet I can play DVD + and - so it's just a case of the right machine for the right job some DVD players will record and play both types. sorry I cannot be more help...PC MAN

Please detail the name of the codec that you need, if you want an accurate Answer.
However, generally, I'd reccomend you use Media Player Classic with the KLite Mega Codec Pack which has most all the codecs.
